Joey Cope

Student Pastor

Joey Cope grew up in Harrison, TN and Jana is from Kingsport, Tennessee. They have been married for 12 years and have 2 daughters, Mckaylan and Londyn.

Joey grew up in a christian home and attended Brainerd Baptist Church. At the age of 15, he began attending Greenwood Baptist Church after being invited by some friends. It was at this church under the teaching of his youth pastor, Toby Brogden, that he realized his need to put his faith in Christ for salvation. After high school he began serving as an intern in the student ministry at Greenwood. This opportunity eventually led into a lead youth pastor position where he served the students of this church for several years. Since that initial experience, Joey has served at 3 other churches in north GA. He has been in student ministry for 14 years.

Joey has a heart for students and desires to walk alongside them through some very pivotal years of their life. He is excited about what is to come for the student ministry here at Hope Church. Knowing he needs help in his endeavors, he would appreciate your prayers.

The vision for Hope Students is to introduce Christ Jesus to young people. We want to make sure that they know how to have a real relationship with God by making their faith known. Luke 9:23-24 and He said to all “if anyone would come after, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it”
